| "Four" | January 2010

 

Farzad's forth record "Four" released on January 2010.

Unlike previous records of Farzad this one is not in Metal genre. In entire album there is no Electric Guitar, Drums and even Percussion. Composition of the instruments are: Steel and Nylon Acoustic Guitar, Resonance Guitar, Bass Guitar and Violin. Another elements of this "Fusion" album are influences of Iranian and Middle Eastern music and eastern tuning for Acoustic Guitars.

Farzad has played all the instruments and on last two tracks "Ali Sanaei" has featured on Bass Guitar.

| Quest of Persia: Nader's Blade | August 2009

 

"Quest of Persia: Nader's Blade" video game from "Puya Arts Software Inc." with Farzad Golpayegani as composer has been released on July 2009 in Iran.

These "Game Soundtracks" include pieces for Intro, themes, Trailer and Credits.

 

Due to problems for releasing this record, like previous records of Farzad Golpayegani, it will be free to download online.

 

This game is rated +18 and has been available only in Iran so far.

| "Three" |

 

Finally after 3 years Farzad Golpayegani's new record "Three" finished in Jan 2008. This is an Iranian Progressive Metal album and it includes only 3 tracks that are about 17 to 18 min. each.

Electric, Acoustic and Bass guitars, vocals and programming for drums and keyboards has been done by Farzad. Also "Arash Jafari" has played Kooze, Darbuka and Daf. Like previous albums Farzad has done recording, mix, mastering and has designed the cover.

This album is a medley of various themes with obvious influence of Iranian and Middle Eastern music.

Tracks of this album are: 14, 39 and 47. Also there is one hidden track in this record which is a cover from some rock and metal songs including: Paranoid (Black Sabbath), Fire (Jimmy Hendrix), Speed King (Deep Purple), Fits like a glove (Kiss), War Ensemble (Slayer), Damage, Inc. (Metallica), Birth of Tension (Overkill), Desperate Cry (Sepultura), Holy Wars (Megadeth), Cowboys From Hell (Pantera).

| Next Project is completely acoustical |

 

Farzad has started his next record "four". This album is an acoustic experience and there will not be any electric guitar in entire record. Another elements of this fusion album are influences of Iranian and Middle Eastern music, vocals (with no words) and eastern tuning for acoustic guitars.

Ali Sanaei (bass guitar) and Arash Jafari (percussions) will play in this project.

| Farzad's Band in BarisaRock Festival in Turkey |

 

Farzad Golpayegani's band performed at BarisaRock Festival (Rock for Peace) in Istanbul/Turkey. Festival took place on August 2007.

| Iranian Fusion Metal Improvisation |

 

Some improvisation jam sessions, in the Iranian Fusion Metal genre, gave the band motivation and curiosity for keeping the record of this improvisation experiences as a live recording. In the last days of may 2007, The band members including: Farzad Golpayegani (Electric Guitar), Soheil Danesh Eshraghi (Vocals), Edward Wastnidge (Drums), Arash Jafari (Kooze/Darbuka/Daf) and Ali Sanaei (Bass Guitar) did the first trial of live recording. One of the goals of this project was to finalize the results as an album to release but the lack of suitable conditions and facilities for recording affected the quality of the sound so this project will be done in the future.

| Fusion Concert.. |

 

Farzad Golpayegani's band in their Fusion concert including Exhibition of Farzad's Paintings

Farzad Golpayegani's band performed in their fusion concert. This event was held in January 2007 at Avini's Hall in Honarhaye Ziba School (School of fine arts)/Tehran University. Since the genre of this concert was Fusion, eastern Percussions was played instead of Drums. It was something like an Iranian Rock Unplugged..

Video Arts that consist of Farzad's paintings was playing during the performance too.

In addition some collections of Farzad's paintings was demonstrated as an Art Exhibition at the same time. This exhibition included over 50 paintings.

| Iranian Intergalactic Music Festival |

 

IRANIAN INTERGALACTIC MUSIC FESTIVAL

Farzad held a gig in "IRANIAN INTERGALACTIC MUSIC FESTIVAL" performing at October 2006 in Zandam (The Netherlands).

Due to some problems Farzad couldn't go with his band and he playbacked the songs (instead of guitar parts that he played) with video clips that had been made by his paintings, and he played on it. it was a concert with a different visual performance. Some tracks from Albums "One", "Two" and "Three" was playing in that gig. For view some pics from that concert check Band Photos page.

There were 12 Iranian bands and musicians from Iran and Europe with various styles in that Festival. Goal of festival was make progress for new Iranian music styles instead of current commercial styles.

| A little Perform.... |

 

 

Farzad had a little perform in Switzerland's Embassy in July 2006. He and "Ali Sardashti" (Iranian Percussion Player) played new versions of some tracks and some Improvise parts.

Also there were other bands with different styles in this program.

 

 

         

 

| " Two " |

 

The second album of Farzad (Two) was going to be released by Bam Ahang Co. in May 2005 (only in Iran) but its license interned by relative ministry and it's releasing from August 2006.

 

This album includes 11 tracks. Like the previous one, this album is an Instrumental Fusion-Metal and it's is totally done by Farzad, and in two tracks "Kaveh Hamedanian" has played Cello.

Because the delay of releasing previous album , "Two" has been provided between 2004 and 2005.

| " One " |

 

 

The first album " ONE " (spring-summer 2002) is an Instrumental Fusion-Metal album. Farzad Golpayegani wrote, performed , recorded and mastered the work and even designed album cover all by himself.


He personally played 7-string Electric guitar, Acoustic guitar and Bass guitar and for the percussion instruments, he has composed the notes by computer programming. This album includes 10 tracks and In the concert some tracks perform with accompany of 2 Iranian instruments " Setar " and " Tombak ".


Name of the tracks are the numbers in song writer's track-list. The reason is the importance of Instrumental music and musical concept against understanding under track name's influence. This album release by " Navaaye Homayoon (Shahram) "Co. (only in Iran)

 

This album faced many problems and released after 2 years in 2004.

 

Name of the tracks are : 33 , 34 , 24 , 22 , 7 , 8 , 13 , 2 , 28 , 12
